With the help of Panchang , special planetary combination is fixed for a particular occasion to receive the favourable impact of celestial bodies.

, “Ashtami Vyadhi nashini” that means the medicine taken on the 8th day of a lunar month cures illness faster. The simple logic behind this is the distance between the Moon and the Earth is the furthest on the 8th day of every month, thus medicine remains stable in the stomach and thereby starts making effect faster and recovers earlier.

Muhurta is the selection of the best date and time for performing any work. It helps in harmonizing the energy of the planets and other astrological factors in an auspicious way so as to nullify the malefic powers and make the result of the work performed most successful. It helps in counteracting the obstacles provided by the birth chart of a person and to counterbalance or overcome the loss mentioned therein. It brings into line- the energy of the person, the stars and the event itself so as to make it highest advantageous to the person performing the work.

Practical Compromises While Selecting Muhurta:

Selection of Muhurta is an absolute process considering only best possible moment for the occasion. But following limitations dilute the dignity of Muhurta:

On important occasions we want our relatives should be present to grace the occasion. But they would prefer weekend or Sunday or other holiday otherwise they may tender an apology.
Some ask Astrologer to choose a date during the vacation of their children.
Sometimes shop opening/other programme’s muhurta is jeopardized due to the late coming of the chief guest who will cut the ribbon.
Some occasions are real time compelling and Astrologer is forced to choose a date within very narrow stretch of timing options.

So one should be rational and ask for genuine Muhurta for a particular occasion.
